Information You Provide
Search Terms
When a visitor types a name or location into a search box powered by an outside provider, the query is sent to that provider to run the search. Ohio Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own system.
Messages to the Site
If a visitor sends a message through a contact channel the site makes available, the message may be kept so the site can respond. It is not shared outside the organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure.
Technical Visit Data
Each page request may create routine technical data, such as:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages opened and time spent on each
- The referring site, when one is sent
- Date and time stamps
Cookies
Cookies help measure how visitors use the pages and can support site features. A browser can block or clear cookies. Some parts of the site may work differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
- Operate the pages and keep them responsive.
- Send searches to the selected partner tool.
- Understand which pages visitors use.
- Find and repair technical faults.
- Show advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Links and Outside Services
Ohio Busted Mugshots links to county booking sources, sheriff and corrections pages, court and government portals, county-specific sites, and outside search services. Once you leave for one of those pages, that provider's privacy notice and controls apply.
Advertising partners may also track activity across different sites to select ads. That tracking takes place through their systems and is governed by their own policies.
Who May Receive Information
The site does not sell personal data. Information may be handled by the following service or public bodies:
- Search partners that process a query.
- Analytics services that help measure site use.
- Advertising networks serving ads.
- Law enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order.
Security Limits
The site uses reasonable security practices to protect information it handles. No system connected to the internet can be promised fully secure, and these steps cannot guarantee that a breach will never happen.
Visitors Under 18
This site is meant for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information to the site, a parent or guardian may ask the operator to delete it through a contact method the site makes available.
Your Information Choices
You may ask the site to:
- Provide a copy of personal information it holds.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete information where deletion is available.
- Stop certain types of processing where that choice applies.
Requests about information held by the site should use an operator privacy contact method if one is published. Search terms sent directly to an outside search partner must be addressed with that provider.

Privacy practices may change as the site or its service providers change. A revised notice will be posted here with a new effective date; review this page for the version currently in force.
